Senior Program Manager, Clinical Affairs and Workforce

Jordan Steiger is the Senior Program Manager for Clinical Affairs and Workforce at the American Hospital Association. In this role, Jordan is responsible for managing a portfolio of projects focused on improving the quality and availability of behavioral health care for both patients and the health care workforce. She currently leads AHA's work on reducing suicide risk for the health care workforce. She is a licensed social worker in Illinois and is passionate about bringing her clinical perspective and knowledge into her work at AHA. Prior to starting her current role, Jordan was a program manager in the AHA Center for Health Innovation, where she worked on CMS, CDC, and AHRQ-funded projects focused on improving patient safety. Jordan holds a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Chicago, a Master of Public Health degree from Tulane University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and American Culture from the University of Michigan. Jordan is an active member of the National Association of Social Workers and a member of the associate board at Haymarket Center, the largest provider of substance use disorder treatment services in the Chicagoland area.
